Miscellaneous

St Blazey's Housing estates are two of the most deprived areas in Cornwall and the UK. Additionally there is an old revelry between the different parts. St Blazey is top of the list in terms of re-offending, teenage pregnancy, unemployed no, low health, low life expectancy, low educational achievement and attendance.... A real gold mine to make things better!

This environmental therapy project has many facets to it trying to engage all residents groups, therefore having a multi activity approach, from gardening, to building to graffiti, outdoor sculpture and water features, survival-training, push-bike mending, guerilla gardening and history aspects.
Main partners are EDEN Project, Creative Expression, Ocean Housing, County Council, 4Ways  Youth Centre, Age Concern and counting.

- work together with the locals to connect and engage  others
- help our head gardener and organiser to plan and manage, groups and activities on the 5 plots
- motivate and assist the funding group and write tenders and applications
- liaise with all the partners and the press
- be present on the associations and other meetings concerning the project
- develop activities and workshop days, possibly deliver them
- help with admin
-support the charities objectives to reach those most disadvantaged and disengaged e.g. those with disabilities, MH conditions, ethnic minorities, and those of old age.

We are looking for someone who is great at face to face communication on all levels and with all ages. We want people who share our excitement for this project, and who believe in its potential.
